THE WHISPER · THE ROAR · THE WAVE
transformation moves like
the breath.
the whisper | roar | wave framework grew out of years of advising leaders, teaching, conducting research, guiding breathwork sessions, and seeking healing and support in my own life.
over time, i began to notice how the rhythm of the breath echoes the rhythm of most change efforts. change is not linear. the ways we move through it often involve our whole hearts, lots of ups and downs (and everything in between), and an honoring of our flaws. it's also about feeling resilient and embracing something better. it is about finding meaning and making a difference in our lives and our world.
this framework names that cycle and gives us shared understanding for the way transformation moves.my own journey was sparked with the breath. years of overthinking, ignoring the quiet signals, and shrinking myself. then pausing and listening for what my body and heart were trying to say.
if any part of this feels familiar, you are not alone.
the whisper
the whisper is an invitation.
a quiet knowing that something
within is ready to shift.
is it restlessness, longing, or a call for change?
notice what is here.
listen to what is present.
honor it,
and let trust within yourself deepen.

the whisper: a breathwork invitation
hand to heart. hand to belly.
breathe in slow, exhale even slower.
extending 2x as long as your inhale.
let the breath reveal what’s next.
the roar
the roar arrives when
what’s real can’t stay hidden.
the body remembering.
parts of you surfacing to be seen.
what deep questions and hidden stories are starting to surface?
it is not about perfection. it is about courage.
even fear is welcome.
the kind that shakes, and also teaches.
embrace it. feel it. breathe into it.
the wave
the wave brings you home.
an acceptance that something new
is being born.
a little more freedom to try, stumble, learn, unlearn, relearn, and try again.
all the things.
healing is not neat or linear.
sometimes the wave brings a whisper.
sometimes a roar. all moving together.
trust what is unfolding.

the roar: a breathwork invitation
take three connected breaths.
inhale through the nose.
exhale through the mouth.
no pause.
on the last exhale, let out a sound.
a sigh, hum, or a roar.

the wave: a breathwork invitation
inhale in two parts. belly, then chest.
exhale in a long, slow wave through the mouth. repeat.
soften your shoulders.
let your breath bring you back to you.
